Frequently Asked Questions

How do I incorporate Kulia products in my skincare routine?

We recommend using Kulia products after cleansing your skin day or night. We swear by the OCM (oil cleansing method) to help maintain the integrity of your skin without using harsh, drying, solvents and chemicals. We recommend applying your Kulia Revitalizing Eye Serum before applying the Kulia Regenerative Face Serum to avoid any heavier face serum oils getting near your eyes. Both products can be paired with other moisturizers, sunscreen or your makeup.

Which serum should I try first?

Both. They are both pretty spectacular. If you're hesitant to try a new face serum because you already love the one you’re using. Try the eye serum, it’s a game changer.

What skin types are Kulia products good for?

All types of skin. If you have any skin conditions or battle acne, it’s recommended that you speak with your dermatologist about what to use on your skin.

Can I use Kulia products if I have skin allergies?

If you have a nut allergy or any floral allergies, our serums contain both, so don’t chance it with either of our products.

How long will my Kulia products last?

Our 30ml bottle of Regenerative Face Serum will last 10-14 weeks with daily, morning and evening application. Our 15ml bottle of Revitalizing Eye serum wil last 12-24 weeks with daily, morning and evening application.

To preserve our formulas’ utmost quality, keep your serums in a cool dry place, away from direct sunlight and use within 6 months of purchasing.

Have Kulia products been allergy tested?

We are in the midst of having our products tested. Please check back soon.

Can I use my Kulia serums while pregnant?

Yes and yes! As a mother herself, founder Jasmine Keeney made sure all formulas were safe for pregnant and nursing moms. Mothers continue to inspire Kulia formulas as moms are often the ones in need of more love and care.

What is the difference between wild harvested and organic ingredients?

Wild harvested plants grow wild- usually they are volunteers (from bird droppings or hitchhiker seeds) that have survived on their own. Human intervention is not part of their growing process, although starters are sometimes used to start growth in organic soil, then planted to survive on its own. These plants are subject to natural environmental stressors such as variations in sunlight, availability of water, competing plants, insects, and disease. This process helps the plant become naturally resilient, which helps fully develop its nutrients and phytonutrients. We, in turn, can benefit from the use of a resilient and strong plant specimen full of phytonutrients.

Wild grown plants are usually found in remote areas that have smaller human populations. Some examples of wild grown plants are the baobab tree, frankincense, cacay, kukui, sandalwood, and tamanu. We’ve selected Cacay Seed Oil as the wild harvested ingredient in our Kulia Face Serum. To protect these precious resources and avoid over harvesting (a common issue due to lack of infrastructure in remote areas), guidelines are in place to keep the environment intact, protect young plants and endangered species, and create rules around replanting seeds in the wild.

Plants that are considered organic are usually grown commercially in controlled farm environments. These plants are grown on unpolluted land without the use of chemical fertilizers, pesticides, fungicides, or herbicides. When grown with chemicals, it doesn’t matter if the plant is ingested or used to create a skincare product, as the  chemicals are inevitably absorbed into the body.

At Kulia, we choose to use only wild harvested or organic ingredients in our formulas. We cherish the farmers who grow and harvest each ingredient without chemicals, and view these relationships as the lifeblood of the natural beauty industry. We believe we are only as healthy as our soil, and look to farmers who shy away from chemical practices and instead adopt ‘organic’ or traditional ways of growing their plants. When you choose to support Kulia, know that you are striving with us to create a future that puts the safety and sustainability of you and our planet first.

Where are Kulia products made?

Our hand-picked, luxurious ingredients are sourced from all over the world. They are then combined and infused with our Brazilian-sourced amethyst and rose quartz in Northern California.

How do I know Kulia will work for my skin type?

While we cannot guarantee that Kulia products will work for you, our serums are formulated to benefit all skin types. Each ingredient was hand-selected, based on the founder's skin concerns- dryness, sun damage, aging and sensitivity.

To develop a Face Serum that doesn’t cause breakouts, Jasmine selected oils with a low comedogenic level (2 or less), to ensure they absorb quickly while also leaving a nice sheen. This was balanced with her desire for a lovely-smelling scent that wasn’t overpowering. Kulia’s Eye Serum was developed to moisturize and brighten the eye area while reducing fine lines and dark circles. Jasmine carefully selected non-irritating, fast-absorbing oils that act as natural collagen boosters.

Are your products recyclable?

Yes. Kulia is EcoCert-certified (a must for us, as its standards are even higher than USDA organic). This guarantees our commitment to sustainability with the selection of 100% recyclable materials.

Do you have a return policy?
