Archeological evidence suggests that the Kalahari melon has been used for over 4000 years. It is the biological ancestor of the watermelon, which is now found all over the world, but which originated in the Kalahari region of Southern Africa.

This oil has a light texture and it offers excellent moisturization properties that help soothe dry, itchy, or damaged skin. Kalahari melon seed oil has similar levels of omega-6 essential fatty acid (68%) to evening primrose (72%), assuring anti-inflammatory properties, restoring skin elasticity and combating wrinkles. Very lightweight, highly moisturising and emollient, this oil quickly absorbs into the skin, leaving a super silky feel that is never greasy.

Kalahari Melon seed can help to give the skin a healthy glow, and gives a quick rejuvenation for dull, tired skin. It has a generous content of 70% Linoleic Acid, which is higher than most beauty oils and gives the oil its age defying, anti-scarring and moisturizing properties. Linoleic Acid also promotes epidermal cell wall integrity, which helps the skin to tighten and retain moisture, leaving it supple, elastic and soothed.
